Wildflowers

Brailsford have made a small start on rewilding at their Playing Field, allowing a small strip of grass near the fence to grow following "the No Mow May" suggestion. Amazingly a very knowledgeable villager noticed specifically two wild flowers - Corn Marigold and Corncockle - that once were common in cornfields but now are quite rare. Gold Card Update

Changes to Gold Cards

Derbyshire County Council has announced temporary changes to the Gold Card scheme allowing elderly and disabled passengers free bus travel in the County.

Since March, Gold Card holders have been able to travel for free before 9.30am. This will change from Monday 15 June. Gold Card users will now be expected to pay to travel before 9.30am to allow spaces on public transport for key... Read More »
