There is nothing new to report on the overall situation other than that Serco staff continue to work overtime, including Saturdays, to try to make up for reduced numbers caused by the well-publicised national shortage of HGV drivers.
However, industrial action called this week by the GMB Union could cause further disruptions, and we have therefore just issued this statement on our website and social channels, which you are welcome to share.
Please note at this stage it is very difficult to know how serious the impact of any industrial action is likely to be, as not all bins staff in the Dales are signed up to the union. We are of course monitoring this and will update you when we have more information.
